AUDI AUSTRALIA

Audi’s partnership with Melbourne Recital Centre has been a thoughtful and engaging way for the Audi brand to give back to the community of Victoria for its support. 2011 represented Audi’s seventh successive year of growth in Australia, and the community of Victoria has played an important role in this growth. Through our partnership with Melbourne Recital Centre, and several other key organisations within the state, Audi has been able to thank Victorians for their support, by enabling this excellent institution to provide the very best musical program for the community to experience.

In September, Melbourne Recital Centre and Audi Australia won the AbaF Victorian Partnering Award at the prestigious Australia Business Arts Foundation's (AbaF) Awards 2012. Audi's principal partnership with Melbourne Recital Centre has been wholly influential in securing the organisation's aim to be the best place to hear fine music in Australia. Melbourne Recital Centre and Audi Australia will now go on to represent Victoria at the upcoming national AbaF Awards, being held in Melbourne on 23 October 2012.

Audi and Melbourne Recital Centre share a commitment to progressive performance, sophistication and technical excellence brought to life with vigour, quality and passion.

Both partners are recognised as world leaders in their respective sphere – Audi for its exceptional engineering, build quality and sophisticated design, that make it one of the world’s most sought-after luxury vehicles; Melbourne Recital Centre for the technical brilliance of its building design and the clarity of its acoustic.

Melbourne Recital Centre is proud of its Principal Partnership with Audi Australia Pty Ltd, a partnership established in 2009 with the opening of the Centre and now in its fourth year.

In Australia, Audi is committed to the support of Australian culture through its partnerships with Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, MCA and ACCA, as well as its flagship partnership with Melbourne Recital Centre. These partnerships, and many more, allow the brand to give back to the community as a way of saying thank you for the support of those Australians who drive Audi’s premium vehicles.

The brand plays an integral role in sustaining Melbourne Recital Centre and extending its work, enabling it to fulfil its potential as Australia’s best place to hear great music and play a leadership role in Australian music.

With Audi’s support, the Centre has expanded its programming and diversified the genres it presents, attracting larger and increasingly diverse audiences and the most outstanding artists from around the world. This expansive program of self-presented and co-presented events provides extensive performance opportunities for Australia’s talented chamber/small ensembles and solo artists. It also enables the Centre to invest in education and sector development initiatives like the MusicPlay childrens festival, competitions, masterclasses and young artist recitals.

Audi’s Principal Partnership makes possible the unique Melbourne Recital Centre concert and event program that so many Victorians now enjoy.  Audi is enthusiastically embraced in so many things we do – from mini Audi push cars for children during MusicPlay to the stunning Audi Q7 SUV that greets visiting artists.  Their commitment to progressive performance and genuine partnership is outstanding.
