On Monday 30 June, Professor Kate Stephens of MARCS Institute, University of Western Sydney shared her knowledge on the psychology of learning and memory in music and dance.
Professor Kate Stephens covered questions such as; can we learn without conscious awareness? and how does the early learning of a ‘tonal’ language, such as Thai, affect perception of music?
The talk was part of our Music on the Mind series of free talks exploring the relationship between music and the human brain and the related links to social wellbeing, participation, learning and development and the role of music in our contemporary communities.
