In person

The Box Office is located in the Audi Foyer of the Melbourne Recital Centre (street level).
It is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, staying open for performance on weeknights.  It is also open two hours prior to all performances on weekends and public holidays.

 


 

Transaction Fees

 

Transaction Fees apply to ticket bookings made online, by phone, fax, email and mail. 

WHY?

As a not for profit organisation, Transaction Fees directly cover costs relating to updating and maintaining our Ticketing & Website services, including making future improvements to these services for you.

 


 

Ticket Pricing

Each performance at Melbourne Recital Centre offers a range of pricing.

STANDARD

This is the full price of a ticket for a performance and is the price type that most people generally select.

CONCESSION

This price is available only to people that have a valid:

  • Carer Card
  • Pension Card
  • Full Time Student Card

If you have purchased a Concession ticket, you will be required to show your card when purchasing tickets, collecting tickets, or at any time during your visit. Only the Concession card holder may purchase Concession tickets.

CHILD

For certain events, a Child's price may be offered to children under 16 years of age.

STUDENT RUSH

For selected performances, a Student Rush may be offered from one hour prior to the performance. This is only available in person and Student cards must be shown when purchasing tickets. Only the Student card holder may purchase Student Rush tickets.

BABES IN ARMS POLICY

For performances where the symbol is shown, babies under the age of two may attend free of charge and be admitted without a ticket, on the condition that they do not occupy a seat and sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. Everyone else attending a performance must hold a valid ticket.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are redeemable for any Melbourne Recital Centre performance.

How can I purchase a Gift Voucher?

Gift Vouchers can only be purchased by calling our Box Office during business hours on 03 9699 3333 or by visiting us in person. Gift Vouchers can not be purchased or redemmed online at this current time.

What can I use my Gift Voucher for?

Gift Vouchers can be used to purchase tickets for any event on sale through Melbourne Recital Centre's Box Office. Gift vouchers can also be used to purchase Melbourne Recital Centre Membership or merchandise sold through the Box Office (this excludes merchandise such as programs and CDs that are sold outside of the Box Office).

How do I redeem my Gift Voucher?

Gift Vouchers can be redeemed in person at Melbourne Recital Centre's Box Office. Simply quote your unique Gift Voucher number to our Box Office staff. They cannot be redeemed online or via an email request.

Do Gift Vouchers expire?

Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. You may also use your Gift Voucher to purchase another with a new 12 month validity period, so long as this is requested and confirmed prior to the expiration date of the original Gift Voucher. 

What if my Gift Voucher is lost or stolen?

The customer is responsible for the safe keeping of their Gift Voucher. If a voucher is lost or stolen Melbourne Recital Centre may replace it upon presentation of suitable identification.

Can I exchange my Gift Voucher for cash?

Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

Can I use more than one Gift Voucher in one purchase?

Yes, you can use any combination of vouchers, cash, cheque or any debit or credit cards accepted by Melbourne Recital Centre.

What are the Gift Voucher denominations?

Gift Vouchers can be purchased for any amount over $20.

What if my total purchase amount is less than my voucher amount?

Your Gift Voucher will have a remaining balance for any unused amounts.

Terms & Conditions
  • Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Any unused balance will not be refunded or credited on expiry.
  • Normal transaction fees apply when redeeming the voucher for tickets.
  • Gift Vouchers must be redeemed in person at Melbourne Recital Centre's Box Office. They cannot be redeemed online or via an email request.
  • Gift Vouchers are non-refundable.
  • Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • If your order exceeds the amount of your Gift Voucher, you must pay for the balance with another method of payment accepted by Melbourne Recital Centre: cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.
  • The Melbourne Recital Centre does not accept any liability for lost or stolen Gift Vouchers.
  • Melbourne Recital Centre reserves the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a Gift Voucher is fraudulently obtained and is used to make purchases.
  • Melbourne Recital Centre may provide gift certificate purchasers with information about the redemption status of Gift Vouchers.
