Flinders Quartet enjoys a wonderful relationship with Ian Munro as a composer, colleague and friend. In 2011, they look forward to premiering his new quartet to Melbourne audiences; Munro’s writing is always sensitive, intensely beautiful and multidimensional. This first concert for 2011 also features Debussy, and Munro will join Flinders on stage for a Mozart Piano Concerto (arranged for piano and string quartet).
