Billy the Rabbit is an inspired blend of music and poetry, art and philosophy, the unique partnership of a gentle genius and a gifted musician who aren't afraid to tackle the biggest mysteries of life.

ARIA Award-winning singer / songwriter Gyan performs her gorgeous take on Michael Leunig's wise and whimsical poems as Leunig, one of Australia's most beloved artists, draws and paints live on stage, adding his own insightful and witty commentary as the imagery is projected onto the big screen.

Poignant and uplifting, Gyan and Leunig's performance is full of humour, truth and magical musical textures, with delight in every pen-stroke.

Gyan and Leunig are joined on stage by a sensational nine-piece band featuring some of Australia's best jazz musicians including Simon Barker (Vince Jones Band), Lloyd Swanton (The Necks), Sam Keevers and Cleis Pearce, complemented by Gyan's hand-picked string and woodwind ensemble made up of some of the finest classical musicians around.
