Choral singing to make your heart soar
The Victoria Welsh Choir, under the leadership of its award-winning Musical Director, Faleiry Koczkar OAM, will present a program of Welsh and Celtic music, featuring beautiful four-part harmonies and rousing male choral singing to make your heart soar.
Faleiry’s guest on the podium will be popular Welsh conductor Rob Nicholls, who returns to Victoria for the St David’s Day celebrations. Also performing will be Scottish pipers, and the a capella group Co-cheòl (the name is Gaelic for harmony).
The concert will also feature a special guest appearance by Rhys Meirion, whose distinguished singing career has included traditional tenor roles with the English National Opera and Opera Australia. Rhys has performed extensively in concert, including appearances at the BBC Proms and on BBC radio and television, has performed and recorded with Bryn Terfel and tours as one of the Three Welsh Tenors.
