Evergreen Ensemble - Classical Scotland

Classical Scotland.jpg

Evergreen Ensemble performs a majestic program of Scottish and German classical repertoire from the late 18th and 19th centuries.

Be surprised and charmed by these rare string quartets which beautifully illustrate the influence teachers can have on several generations of students.

Soaring Scottish airs and spirited German dances by composers such as the Earl of Kellie, Schetky and Reinagle follow in the wake of the opening Quartet in B-Dur by Johann Stamitz. This year marks the 300 year anniversary of Stamitz’s birth.
