The Fidelio Quartet embark on a magnificent journey of all 16 String Quartets in May and September 2017- 2019 in collaboration with Crohn’s and Colitis Australia. Each of the six performances present a quartet selected from an early, middle and late period of Beethoven’s life so the magic of Beethoven’s legacy can be enjoyed at every concert.

The Fidelio Quartet has been described as one of the most exciting new forces on the concert stage of Melbourne. Each member has an enviable reputation among the finest artists in Australia.

Many people are aware that Beethoven became deaf but did you know that he also suffered from Ulcerative Colitis? Crohn’s and Colitis Australia is proudly supporting the Melbourne Beethoven Quartet Cycle to raise awareness of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease (the two diseases which make up Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
