Mentorship, professional development and performance experience for young musicians.
Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ Virtuosity is a concerto soloist competition offering young musicians mentorship, professional development and performance experience.
It is rare for young musicians to get the opportunity to rehearse and perform a concerto with a full-sized orchestra. Now in its fourth year, Virtuosity offers three grand finalists the chance to perform their chosen concerto with the Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
Virtuosity is the ideal springboard into professional concerto performance and the development of advanced musician skills – both on and off stage.
Melbourne Youth Orchestras has brought Victoria’s finest young musicians together since 1967.
Presented by Melbourne Youth Orchestras
The three Virtuosity grand finalists will present selections from their chosen works, accompanied by the Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra.
