Musical Explorations: Haydn Unpicked

You are invited behind the curtain and offered a rare glimpse into the rehearsal process.

Experience a fly-on-the-wall view of the artistry behind turning a never-before-seen piece of sheet music into a virtuoso recital.

Haydn Unpicked sees our performers take a Haydn quartet from first glance to first performance, right before your very eyes. Part public rehearsal and part armchair master class, this is a fascinating opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring craft of professional musicianship up close and personal.

Concept devised by Melbourne Festival 2013-2015 as part of the Haydn for Everyone program.
