The Northern Cello

Experience a program of diverse beauty

Zoe Knighton and Ian Munro have had a long association together as chamber musicians and have celebrated by collaborating on a unique combination of beautiful Northern European melodies.

Using the magnificently romantic Grieg sonata as their centrepiece, Zoe and Ian have curated a program of diverse beauty from the haunting beauty of Väsks’ Gremata Cellam (made famous by Sol Gabetta) to the grand beauty of Grieg. Described as musicians of ‘colour and flair’ (Munro) with a ‘thrilling tenor sound’ (Knighton) this is a concert not to be missed.
