Regarded as one of Australasia’s leading pedagogues, Robin Wilson is Resident Faculty of Violin at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne. His students are regular prizewinners of major national and international competitions and perform with leading orchestras in Australia and overseas. He has released solo and ensemble recordings on Universal Music/Decca, ABC Classics, Vexations840, VDE-Gallo and Ode Records and tours nationally and internationally as member of the acclaimed ensemble Ironwood. He is a member of the Australian Octet, is the former Leader of the ARCO Chamber Orchestra, and has appeared as guest violinist with numerous leading Australian ensembles. Robin plays a Gagliano violin, made in Naples in 1786.
