Arcadia Winds

Arcadia Winds are one of Australia’s most exciting young chamber ensembles. Formed in 2013 at the Australian National Academy of Music, they are fast becoming a fixture in the Australian musical scene, known for their energetic, joyful and spontaneous performances, advocacy for wind instruments, commitment to Australian music, and making music accessible to all. Concerts at venues around the country, festival performances with the world’s best musicians, collaborations with Australian composers young and old, jamming with pop musicians and circus performers, and education programs for schoolchildren and university students are just some of Arcadia’s activities. Arcadia Winds are also Musica Viva’s inaugural FutureMakers ensemble, chosen from a pool of Australia’s most outstanding musicians to lead Australian music into an exciting new future.
