Balkan Jewels

Anja & Zlatna is a vibrant ensemble which seeks to preserve the beauty of traditional melodies from the beautiful Balkans and beyond.

Balkan Jewels is a celebratory evening, exploring songs and dances which have long been cherished by people from this region.

Melodies and texts spring forth from centuries long past with their powerful threads and themes reaching out to our modern-day communities; leitmotifs of love, yearning and friendship bring together a diversity of melodic and rhythmic traditions – transporting you to the faraway lands of this beautiful region.
