The Brandenburg Quartet is Australia’s newest and most exciting period instrument ensemble and the first string quartet in the country dedicated to performing on period instruments.
The quartet unites four exceptional principal string musicians of the multi ARIA Award-winning Australian Brandenburg Orchestra: violinists Shaun Lee-Chen (Perth) and Ben Dollman (Adelaide), violist Monique O’Dea (Sydney), and cellist Jamie Hey (Melbourne).
Performing exclusively on gut strings, the group seeks to explore and shed light on little-known works and composers, in addition to well-loved quartets of the classical repertoire.
