Luo Huifang

Luo Huifang, National First class Actress, is the solo pipa artist of the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theatre and guest professor at Beijing Contemporary Music School.

Luo performed the premiere shows of ‘The Girls of Loulan’ and ‘Frown in Vain’. She visited many regions and countries, including Asia, America, Europe, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, etc. She is well received at home and aboard.

She has won a variety of national and international awards, for example, the first prize in instrumental performing and the overall second prize of the 9th Sharq Taronalari (Melodies of the East) International Music Festival in Uzbekistan, and the second prize of the ‘Tianhua Cup’ National Professional Youth Pipa Competition.

She is devoted to artistic practice and cultural exchanges. Inheriting the essence of Chinese music, she is passionate about highlighting the value of Chinese culture in today’s context.
