Join us for rare up-close and personal afternoon discussion with José González and Double J’s Caz Tran.
Swedish singer-songwriter and modern day heart-breaker José González first gained attention with his cover of the Knife’s ‘Heartbeats’ and sparse renditions of Joy Division and Massive Attack following the stylings of Elliott Smith and Nick Drake. He’s the master of meditative, pattering percussion and subtle vocal swells mingled with bossa nova flair that time over displays his song-craft and folk sensibilities as a leading artist of his craft.
In this intimate In Conversation event, José shares insights into his creative process and musings on his career — hopefully treating us to a few songs along the way. This is a unique opportunity for an intimate audience to participate in the creative conversation and learn from this remarkable musician.
Caroline (Caz) Tran is a passionate champion of Australian music, has worked with triple j for over 10 years, and has hosted shows on Double J since its launch.
This In Conversation is proudly supported by APRA AMCOS, Doube J and Amplify.
