Featuring some of Melbourne’s most exciting young musicians, Ensemble Sacamano welcome home Australian harpist Yiyun Loei for their first Melbourne Recital Centre concert.
The fin de siecle world of luxury, decadence and mysticism is evoked through Debussy’s Danses and Andre Caplet’s startling musical re-telling of Edgar Allen Poe’s Masque of the Red Death.
The program concludes with the rich harmonies of Strauss’s Sextet from Capriccio, an homage to the power of poetry as it relates to music.
