An intimate performance of Beethoven’s astonishing Archduke trio with canapés and wines in the perfect acoustic of the Salon.
Witness icons of chamber music in the perfect acoustic of the Salon at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Evoking an exclusive private performance, just 65 guests will experience seminal works of chamber music performed by Australia’s finest musicians. Enjoy gourmet canapés and premium wines by MCO partner Narkoojee before and after the performance, and meet and talk with the musicians at the post-concert function.
Beethoven’s final piano trio, the Archduke, is the climax of his contribution to the genre, and one of the pinnacles of the piano trio repertoire. Spacious, joyous and ever-intriguing, this music has all the hallmarks of Beethoven’s grandest and finest writing.
For MCO’s second Salon Session of 2018, they bring together two Melbourne artists, pianist Benjamin Martin and violinist William Hennessy, with extraordinary Singapore-based cello star Li-Wei Qin.
