Zhang Hong-yan

Attaining her Master’s degree from the Central Conservatory of Music, Zhang Hong-yan is an eminent Pipa virtuoso, Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, MA student supervisor and member of the Chinese Association for Cultural Development. Zhang has previously performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center (New York), the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Goldener Saal of Vienna’s Musikverein and the Kennedy Center (Washington). Zhang founded the Plucked-String Orchestra of China Central Conservatory of Music in 2003.
