Andriessen's Hoketus
Details
The MCM New Music Ensemble concludes Metropolis 2019 with two major works by the acclaimed Dutch master and trans-Atlantic progenitor of the minimalist movement, Louis Andriessen.
Experience Andriessen’s seminal opus Hoketus (1976), scored for opposing rock-based ensembles, plus the lightning-fast virtuosity of Hout, a pulsating canon for marimba, electric guitar, alto sax and piano.
