Breathe
Details
‘Alyson has a beautiful tone, a soothing sound that inspired me to play chords with warmth.’ Jon Cowherd, pianist
Australian vocalist and composer Alyson Murray is known for melding elements of soul, R ‘n’ B and jazz into energetic and captivating music. Her extensive musical career includes hits with Australian hip hop artist Maundz, performances on stage with Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz, curating her sell-out show Sassy, a tribute to Sarah Vaughan, and recording and performing her original music in a variety of ensembles whilst maintaining her truly captivating sound.
Breathe is a collection of songs composed in the buzz and business of New York City. Inspired by the cities surroundings, vocalist Alyson Murray has composed a body of new music which features on her debut album, Breathe. Through soulful grooves and rich harmonies, Alyson reflects on a city often filled with anxiety, exploring themes of love, new surroundings and growth, while infusing a sense of relief into the city that never sleeps.
