The Shadow of the Black Love: Recording & Touring – Jimmy Little’s Messenger (20th Anniversary). 43 years after his debut record, Jimmy Little released Messenger, an album saluting our great Australian songwriters. Messenger launched Little in to the conscious of a whole new generation of fans. The album won Best Adult Contemporary Album ARIA, and Jimmy was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame. The importance of Messenger on the Australian music industry cannot be overstated, nor can its impact in reinvigorating Jimmy’s legacy as a seminal contemporary Indigenous artist.

In this new multi-media music concert, Messenger producer Brendan Gallagher celebrates the music and impact of Messenger and shines a light on Jimmy’s wonderful career. Joined by Jimmy’s grandson James Henry, Messenger player Stu Hunter, and Kutcha Edwards, and co-produced by Leah Flannigan, In The Shadow Of The Black Love promises a magical night of beautiful music in tribute to one of the true greats of Australian music.
