Singer Louisa Rankin brings a bold instrumental perspective to collective music-making.
Her approach to composing for and singing within an ensemble as they improvise together is both playful and disciplined.
Performing a program of completely original works, Louisa has hand-picked the members of her quintet that includes the lyrical playing of Angela Davis on alto saxophone, the deft control of Fran Swinn and Jon Delaney on guitars, and the adventurous explorations of Jonathan Zion on double bass.
