Clancye Milne is a Melbourne-based improvising contemporary vocalist.
With a diverse array of creative influences, her music focuses on her love of poetry and melody through a blend of jazz and contemporary folk music.
Clancye and her Octet have carefully selected a collection of Australia’s most beloved songs, re-imagined for contemporary jazz octet. Drawing content from a diversity of eras and genres, this evening will take you on a musical journey from the lyric of Banjo Patterson, the melodies of Katie Noonan, through to the timeless anthems of bands such as INXS. Enhancing the harmony and augmenting the instrumental colours, The Clancye Milne Octet use these prized Australian compositions as a platform for connection, expression and improvisation.
