Composer, improviser and collaborator Andrew Tuttle has shared stages with Matmos, Julia Holter and Steve Gunn. A well-kept secret of the Australian underground scene, his music floats between ambient, jazz and folk, inhabiting a place all its own.
Named after the suburb where Tuttle first created and fell in love with music, new release Alexandra is the sound of rediscovering one’s environment. The pieces trace a fortuitous path of chance meetings, house stays and blissful spring days – moments of inspiration both intimately familiar and strangely new.
This exclusive performance combines new material with recreations of selected favourites, featuring banjo, acoustic guitar, real-time electronics and video art.
