Described by Pitchfork as ‘one of the most innovative voices in British music’, Anna Meredith is a genre-crossing composer and producer whose work straddles the world of contemporary classical, art pop, electronica and experimental rock.

About this concert

Anna brings her ‘stormy, ecstatic, endlessly danceable’ (NPR) live show to Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, performing her original contemporary works with her virtuosic five-piece band featuring guitar, tuba, cello, percussion and electronics for the first time this June.

After building an established career in the classical world and releasing two EPs on Moshi Moshi Records, she launched the hotly anticipated FIBS last year – her second album and the follow-up to her 2016 award-winning debut, Varmints. Between albums she’s opened the BBC Proms and Edinburgh International Festivals with Five Telegrams, scored Bo Burnham’s debut feature-length film Eighth Grade and Paul Rudd’s dark comedy series Living With Yourself for Netflix.
