Event details

Engaging with beauty, spirit, rawness and experimentation, Les Gyori Sextet expresses a wide palate of emotions, flowing between tranquil and energetic moods.

Each piece defines a conversation of its own, weaving textured layers of sound, interspersed with spontaneous improvisation. Showcasing original new material, the Sextet builds on its recordings in New York and draws upon a multitude of contemporary genres, from jazz and Latin to electronic music.

A frequent collaborator, violinist and composer Les Gyori has supported Sir Bob Geldof, The Furys and The Black Sorrows, to name a few. Les and the members of his sextet have appeared extensively on TV, radio, and in many venues locally, around Australia and in the U.S.
