We regret to advise Hidden Gems on Monday 7 September has been cancelled.

Melbourne Recital Centre cares deeply about the health and safety of its audiences, artists and staff. We acknowledge that the suspension of normal operations in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a difficult but essential action for the health of the Victorian public. Directed by clarinettist Justin Beere and oboist Steph Dixon, the ensemble is committed to illuminating extraordinary and unique chamber music.

Wander off the beaten track with the Melbourne Chamber Players and encounter a treasure trove of extraordinary yet rarely enjoyed works. Discover the eclectic vitality of Matinu’s colourful Oboe Quartet, a world premiere by the captivating young Australian composer Matthew Laing and the exquisite sounds of Arensky’s Piano Trio in D minor. Reinvigorate your listening with these special encounters performed by exceptional musicians of Melbourne.
