We regret to advise Jazz & Social Justice on Friday 18 September has been cancelled.

Melbourne Recital Centre cares deeply about the health and safety of its audiences, artists and staff. We acknowledge that the suspension of normal operations in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a difficult but essential action for the health of the Victorian public. We are committed to supporting our staff during this time and difficult circumstances. We thank our community for its support during this challenging time.

‘An enchanting vocalist and captivating storyteller.’

Known for her rich vocals and ability to get to the heart of a tune, Jackie Bornstein enchants audiences with her emotive delivery and brings a powerful energy to every performance.

Joined by her band, Jackie explores jazz as a force for justice, creativity and unity. Together they bring to life powerful stories of great jazz artists who have taken a stand against injustices, from Billie Holiday to Louis Armstrong and Vince Jones.
