Event details

A great morning’s work with one of Australia’s best young quartets, with music by Schulhoff and Ravel alongside a brand new commission.

The Orava Quartet are a notable presence on the Australian chamber music scene, with regular appearances for Musica Viva and the Huntington Estate Music Festival, and collaborations with other presenters around the country.

Their critically acclaimed debut album was released by Deutsche Grammophon in 2018. For this program they have chosen Schulhoff’s dynamic, brilliant first Quartet, a new piece from Sydney’s Christine Pan, and Ravel’s beloved masterpiece, full of colour and melodic inventiveness – altogether a great morning’s work.
