The remarkable improvisations of Melbourne jazz saxophonist Richard Pavlidis are the centrepiece of his original music.
Flashing between playful and self-reflective moods, his music appeals to jazz aficionados and newcomers alike.
Joined by his band for his latest show, Origins, Pavlidis explores the nature of loneliness. His tenor saxophone traces a human lifetime, navigating a solo path from childhood to adulthood.
