‘A smooth soulful sonic oasis.’ Triple J
Following her fabulous Melbourne International Jazz Festival debut, singer Phoebe Day launches new material in an intimate acoustic show, featuring Invictus String Quartet. Described as a modern-day classic, Day exudes golden era charm whilst creating a sound that is contemporary and relevant. Her vocals bounce between a velvety lower register and a delicate falsetto. Coupled with polished songwriting and lush lyricism, it’s easy to hear what sets this artist apart.
Her latest EP, When Flowers Bloom, is grounded in carefully crafted songwriting, intricate string arrangements and sophisticated melodies. Reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Sade, there is a quiet vulnerability in Day’s smooth and sultry tones. See why audiences are enamoured with her inimitable elegance, warmth and intimacy.
