We regret to advise Postcards from Iberia on Tuesday 20 October has been cancelled.
Melbourne Recital Centre cares deeply about the health and safety of its audiences, artists and staff. We acknowledge that the suspension of normal operations in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a difficult but essential action for the health of the Victorian public. Ukrainian-Australian mother-son duo Markiyan & Oksana Melnychenko perform great violin and piano masterpieces.
Recitals by the duo present the highest standard of musical artistry, brimming with the artists’ passionate joy for sharing great music.
With its fiery passions, energising rhythms and flamboyant characters, music from the Iberian Peninsula has captivated the minds of many composers from countries around the world. Markiyan & Oksana Melnychenko explore how composers both in and out of Spain were inspired by this fascinating land and its cultures.
