Melbourne Recital Centre cares deeply about the health and safety of its audiences, artists and staff. When New York wunderkind George Gershwin died age 38, he left a body of work that redrew jazz/classical boundaries.
In this one woman show, Monique diMattina sings and plays Gershwin’s 1920’s era pop songs through a 2020 lens, sharing Gershwin gossip and culminating in the epic, iconic Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano.
