We regret to advise The Miraculous Mandarin on Sunday 22 November has been cancelled.

Melbourne Recital Centre cares deeply about the health and safety of its audiences, artists and staff. We acknowledge that the suspension of normal operations in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a difficult but essential action for the health of the Victorian public. We are committed to supporting our staff during this time and difficult circumstances. We thank our community for its support during this challenging time.

Join Melbourne Youth Orchestra and guest conductor Warwick Stengårds for The Miraculous Mandarin.

Featuring Wagner’s Flying Dutchman Overture, suites from De Falla’s Three Cornered Hat , and Bartok’s Miraculous Mandarin, this concert is rich with impassioned music driven by dramatic narratives.

From the courageous tale of The Flying Dutchman, right through to the fatal conflict of The Miraculous Mandarin, Stengårds and Melbourne Youth Orchestra will have you on the edge of your seat with excitement.
