Concert Postponement Notification

We regret to advise Top Acts 2020 on Friday 8 May has been postponed.

Melbourne Recital Centre cares deeply about the health and safety of its audiences, artists and staff. We acknowledge that the suspension of normal operations in response to COVID-19 is a difficult but essential action for the health of the Victorian public. We are committed to supporting our staff during this time and difficult circumstances. We thank our community for its support during this challenging time.

VCAA hopes to reschedule the concert and update ticket-holders with information about the rescheduled concert in the near future. Ticket-holders can either retain their current ticket for the rescheduled concert, or receive a refund through their original point of purchase. Event details

Top Acts 2020 is a showcase of VCE performing arts students who have achieved exemplary results in the studies of Dance, VET Dance, Drama, Theatre Studies, Music Performance, Music Style and Composition, Music Investigation and VET Music. The concert comprises stunning performances by young performing artists. It includes contemporary and classical music performed by soloists and ensembles, scripted and originally devised drama and dance pieces.

The performances will be selected from Top Class 2020; a concert series of works presented in February and March.

This inspiring event offers current students, teachers, families and the general public an opportunity to see some of Victoria’s finest emerging performing artists.
