Declan the Music Man

Suitable for ages 3-5

Spectacular one-man-band Declan the Music Man presents a fun-filled show that introduces kids to unique musical instruments from around the globe.

About this event

Declan plays not one, not two, but 25 different instruments. You might hear the Italian mandolin (plucked string instrument), the African kalimba (thumb piano) and the Irish bodhrán (frame drum), among many, many others. Hear what each one sounds like, learn how they work and where they come from. In this worldly musical bonanza, everybody has a part to play, whether it’s singing songs, clapping, recognising melodies or, of course, having a lot of laughs.

COVID Safety

Melbourne Recital Centre is committed to the safety of our artists, staff and patrons. As we reopen, a range of public health, hygiene and physical distancing measures will be in place. Click here to learn more.
