Join Ensemble Ancien for an evening of familiar tunes and seldom-performed gems
About Ensemble Ancien
Fueled by a passion for all things Baroque, Ensemble Ancien seeks to bring new light to rarely heard music from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Ensemble’s dedicated performances transport you straight into the salons of the past, to revel in the true elegance and charm of music from the period.
About the concert
Ensemble Ancien explores the vocal treasures of some of Italy’s most cherished Baroque composers including Monteverdi, Strozzi and Steffani. Nature was a poetic canvas for these composers to explore their deepest passions and desires. This alluring theme runs through a program adorned with familiar tunes and seldom-performed gems.
Melbourne Recital Centre is committed to the safety of our artists, staff and patrons. When we reopen, a range of public health, hygiene and physical distancing measures will be in place. Click here to learn more.
