About this concert

The legendary Orient Express train has served as a source of inspiration and fascination ever since it first began operating in 1883. Come aboard and join Markiyan & Oksana Melnychenko for a musical journey, tracing the original route from Istanbul to Paris via Bucharest, Budapest, Vienna and Munich. Enjoy a sampling of the local culture at every stop, starting with Ottoman Janissary bands, stopping by village weddings for a dance, or two, and finally arriving at an elegant, turn of the century Parisian salon.

In line with the advice of health authorities and Victoria’s circuit-breaker lockdown, this concert has been rescheduled to Thursday 15 July.
