About this concert
A solo performance promises to connect us with an artist at their most raw and intimate. With no other band members to share the credit with, the musician’s pure style, vision and gifts can be admired completely as their own. Violin, piano, voice and guitar solos are most popular, but almost all instruments can captivate us in this setting if the performer is good enough. In the case of virtuoso Niran Dasika, it is the trumpet that gets the limelight. Niran combines this with a backdrop of moody synthesisers and live electronics – accompaniments that reflect light back on the trumpet as the star of the show. With his ‘ravishing’ (The Age) and ‘exquisite’ (Australian Book Review) playing, this dynamic performer’s soulful music is ideal for the intimacy of the Primrose Potter Salon.
Melbourne Recital Centre is committed to the safety of our artists, staff and patrons. When we reopen, a range of public health, hygiene and physical distancing measures will be in place. Click here to learn more.
