About this concert

Melbourne Chamber Players breathes new life and vigour into the extraordinary sound of the reed quintet. Nestle in the warmth and beauty of Schumann’s magical Waldszenen (Forest Scenes). Rest by an iridescent lake, caressed by the cool shimmer of the moon’s silver glow in Nico Muhly’s Look for Me. Let the melodic grandeur of Francis Poulenc’s remarkable Sextet for piano and winds wash over you. Performed by some of Australia’s finest woodwind instrumentalists, this atmospheric and immersive program of virtuosic chamber music is not to be missed.
