Presented by LIVE NATION
Details
Evocative blend of classical, pop and jazz.
Agnes Obel’s first full length studio album, Philharmonics released in 2010, won multiple awards including Best Debut Artist and Best Album at the Danish Music Awards. The record itself is currently registered as six times platinum in her native Denmark, platinum in both Belgium and France and certified Gold in the Netherlands.
Following the success of Philharmonics, her full length studio albums Aventine and Citizen Of Glass both won multiple accolades from fans and critics alike. Citizen Of Glass won Impala Music’s European Independent Album of the Year award, and both albums were supported by touring across the world, including extensive tours in the UK, Europe and United States.
In 2020, Obel released her most recent album, Myopia. Following the same principles as her previous albums, Obel completed the album as a one-woman project in her own Berlin home studio, to further critical acclaim.
The Berlin-based, Danish singer-songwriter will be performing in October as part of an expansive tour covering Europe, Australia and New Zealand and finishing at the prestigious Paris Philharmonic.
Don’t miss out on her captivating live show at Melbourne Recital Centre.
