About the concert
She Said explores and celebrates the Australian Jazz Songbook. Inspired by the female composers and improvisers of the Australian jazz scene, this project seeks to combine vocal jazz artistry and improvisation with original, Australian works from the past and present. With a line-up of some of Melbourne’s finest, young jazz musicians, led by Amelia Evans, She Said pays tribute to Australian women in jazz, featuring the music of Judy Bailey, Kristin Berardi and Sonja Horbelt to name a few. A dazzling event of artistry and creativity not to be missed.
