Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre & Andrea Lam
A spirited evening of musical connection and adventure.
About the artists
Australian pianist Andrea Lam is known for her melting lyricism, filigree touch and spirited eloquence. Her performance at Melbourne Recital Centre in Primrose Potter Salon will see her explore the ways in which technology has impacted the experience of music listening; how music connects and impacts mood.
The audience will be invited to participate in an interactive, ever-changing experience where they can choose their own [musical] adventure and determine what they wish to hear in that moment with options spanning from J. S. Bach through to Bill Evans.
About the concert
Interwoven through the concert will be Schubert’s breathtaking Sonata in A major, D.95, a large-scale work that encapsulates beauty, nostalgia, grandeur, intimacy, melancholy, joy, stillness and whimsy – all elements explored in some way through the audience’s choice of offered works, whichever they will be.
