His performance in Primrose Potter Salon will guide listeners through different scenes within an expansive sonic journey.
In Charcoal 15, software splits the instrument’s sound into four parts, each moving around four speakers to create an enveloping experience.
In Charcoal 15, software splits the instrument’s sound into four parts, each moving around four speakers to create an enveloping experience. Charcoal 10.2 is a sculptural and sonic exploration for double-bell trumpet, reflective surfaces, water bowls, spotlights, and pre-recorded sounds. In a short acoustic interlude, Charcoal 16, one uninterrupted six-minute tremolo breathtakingly transforms beyond recognition. Charcoal 17 continues G’Froerer’s explorations into incorporating original poetry into his musical language.
Combining a refined instrumental practice with generous expressive and improvisational flair, G’Froerer’s performances leave a lasting impression on listeners.
