About the concert
And for their last but certainly not the least concert in their Rebirth 2022 Series. Richard Strauss wrote this as the music for his own passing – a rebirth into the next life perhaps. An intensely emotional work deserves its own half of the programme with the whole orchestra being the soloist and star of the show. To finish the year, one of Tchaikovsky’s lesser known symphonies will make you wonder why this incredible work is not played more often!
