Melbourne Chamber Players – Everything Old is New Again

Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre & Melbourne Chamber Players

The next generation of compelling music makers.

About the artists

Melbourne Chamber Players features the next generation of compelling music makers in pursuit of imaginative and enriching chamber music experiences. Known for performing cornerstones of the repertoire and rare gems by lesser-known luminaries

About the concert

Early composers often served as inspiration for the creators that followed them, guiding their pursuit for invention and individuality. This uplifting program explores music of composers that sought musical fodder from the past as a constant source of newness for the present.

Drawing on the great minds of Mozart, Thelonios Monk, Shakespeare and Brahms the daring works of Arvo Pärt, Joe Twist, Thomas Adès and Ralph Vaughan-Williams come together for an evening of music making filled with melodic beauty, magical storytelling and bold reinvention.
