The string quartets on this concert program by Brahms and Haydn need little introduction. Flinders Quartet can’t wait to sink into the sumptuous romanticism and grandeur of Brahms and have fun with the ingenuity and wit of Haydn. What better way to get through a Melbourne Winter!
Joining Flinders Quartet on stage for Shostakovich’s energetic Octet Op. 11 are bright rising stars, Peruli Quartet, the 2021 winners of the Flinders Quartet prize for the Musica Viva Strike a Chord competition.
