During the great silence of the 2021 lockdown Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders quietly released their finest work to date. A record as heartbreaking as it is life-affirming, Hijack! is built entirely of flesh and steel, stringing details of an anti-hero’s demise and inevitable ascension.

Fronted by the alluring voice of Ladder and backed by a band of some of Australia’s longstanding greats; their once in a lifetime performance alongside orchestral strings will recreate otherworldly atmospheres while breathing new life and textures to revered classics. Their performance in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall will bear witness to the pathos, humour and emotion of Hijack! in an enthralling collision of storytelling and musical prowess.
